Hansa Automatic Feed Controller (Hansa AFC)

The Hansa range of hydraulic feed chippers now has state of the art automatic feed control.

Designed by Hansa Products, this new control features touch button full adjustment of the point at which the feed stops, adjustable by the operator of the machine. An LCD display presents the current engine RPM, as well as engine hours. The machines efficiency is optimised with a reverse off of the feed roller as soon as the feed stops to reduce the friction between the wood and the blades, allowing for a much faster recovery. This intelligent system also senses any feedroller jams. If this occurs the feed roller reverses a partial turn and then automatically starts feeding again to clear any debris that may have caused the feedroller to jam.
